Attic cleanouts — the space everyone ignores.
Awkward access, decades of accumulation, and questionable footing. Attics are a whole different job, and we come prepared for it.
Why attics are different
Attics collect decades of things nobody wants to think about — and they're miserable to work in. Access is a hatch or steep stairs. Footing is often exposed joists with insulation between them, meaning one wrong step goes through the ceiling. Older attics can hold dust, rodent droppings, and deteriorating insulation you shouldn't breathe.
We come in with proper gear, safe footing techniques, and a lot of patience for tight-space work. You stay on the main floor.
What typically comes out
- Holiday decorations bought decades ago
- Baby items from now-grown children
- Boxes from two moves back that were never opened
- Old luggage, camping gear, and out-of-season clothing
- Paper — so much paper
When to schedule one
Common triggers: selling a home (inspectors do look), insulation upgrades (contractors need the space clear first), converting the attic to living space, or clearing an estate. If insulation work is next, book the cleanout first — insulation crews charge more when they have to work around your storage.
Pricing
Attic cleanouts typically run $400–$900 depending on volume and access difficulty. Flat rate quoted before we start.
